Flash flood all over NYC

The NYC Department of Transportation has issued a flash flood advisory. Roads are closed due to flooding and the Long Island Expressway was the hardest hit in Queens. The FDNY continues to work for rescues. Tow trucks in the area continue to move vehicles. Heavy waves of rain moved through the region just as the morning commute started and city officials are working to clear the water.


Police sources confirmed three children drowned by mother at NYC beach

Three children were found dead at the Coney Island boardwalk early Monday. Police sources believe they may have been drowned by their mother. The three children, a 7 year old boy, 4 year old girl and 3 month girl were found around 2am after a massive search when 911 calls came in from a relative. Police stated the mother was found an hour later soaking wet within 2 miles barefoot. More investigations are underway.


Macy's 4th of July fireworks on schedule

The Macy's 4th of July Fireworks 2022 show will be back on the East River in New York City. The fireworks will be launched from barges spaced along the East River and the display will be visible in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. More than 48,000 shells and effects are expected to be launched from five barges positioned between E. 23rd and E. 42nd Streets.  The year's show will launch about 1,900 shells a minute.


All beaches opens starting with Memorial Day weekend

As of Saturday all beaches of NYC from Brighton Beach, Coney Island, Orchard Beach, Cedar Grove Beach, Manhattan Beach, Midland Beach, Orchard Beach, Rockaway Beach, Wolfe's Pond Beach and South Beach will be open with lifeguards on duty daily, 10am to 6pm until Sunday, September 12.
